Help Feed Mrs. Stein's First Grade Class
From Jeruza Stein, a Boston public school first-grade teacher: "My school services a high-needs population, where the majority of the students receive free or reduced lunch, are English Language Learners, and/or receive special education services. Each week, we, as teachers, provide snacks and enrichment opportunities that are not covered by the school. We are underfunded and benefit from all the support we can get!"

From Brookline Asian American Family Network: "The Brookline Asian American Family Network (BAAFN) asks for your contribution to the AAPI Book Fund to build a comprehensive collection of books by and about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders for Brookline High School students. These books will be dedicated to honoring our beloved Brookline High Chinese teacher, Lihua Zhang Shorter, upon her retirement this October. They will be housed in the BHS Library for all students and teachers to enjoy."

Fast-forward, and now the Golden Wat team and I have the opportunity to support children experiencing those same hardships ... Our goal is to provide 1,000 backpacks with school supplies back to the communities that need them most. We believe that even a gesture this small can have a great impact on a student's academic success while alleviating the financial burden on their families."

Here is where they will learn to not only recognize letters and form sentences and begin to learn to write, but also it’s an important transition to their academic learning starting with learning to read."
